Coal tower
DescriptionCoal tower, usually, services serveral batteries and stores blend's quantity necessary for continuous battery opeartion for some period of time (approximately, one shift).
Coal blend is supplied by transport conveyers from coal treatment plant and stored in coal tower's bunkers. Charging car gets neceassary quantity of coal blend from specified bunker's row to charge it into coke oven.
Proposed process control automation system provides:
- coal blend level and uniformity control;
- charging car loading control;
- uniform distribution of charge car loadings among the coal bunkers;
- prevention of blend freezing and sticking together;
